MOVED FROM THE 4TH, AS IN THE M-AURA, TO THE 11TH
If you've made beer only from malt extract and would like to find out how to make it from whole grain, this is your chance. I'll be starting a batch sometime this morning, probably around 9:00 or so, and working on it most of the day; I'll start "mashing" the grain at 11:00 and start "sparging" the grain bed about 12:00, so the interesting part will be from 11:00 to about 2:00, but feel free to show up early and stay late if you want. There will be several idle times while I'm waiting for things to happen, and I'll be explaining what is going on -- including what "mashing" and "sparging" mean -- during those times. No fee; I'll have some food and beverages out, or you can bring your own if you feel like sharing.
